South Valley Athletics Mission

Sports are a value to the community for many reasons. Sports provide social interaction and responsibility, help to keep children healthy and fit, and helps develop lifelong fitness habits. The value of providing sports to Cottage Grove and surrounding communities is immeasurable.

Our goal of providing a fun, exciting, and educational environment for children though organized sports to all children is the primary focus of South Valley Athletics. We strive to provide an opportunity to all children regardless of finanical constraints.

Thursday, January 17, 2008 NEW REGISTRATION POLICY! Please read: effective March 1st, 2008 South Valley Athletics will start doing the registration process like Kidsports, YMCA, and all other youth sports affiliates. REGISTRATION FEES WILL NOW BE DUE AT THE TIME OF THE REGISTRATION. ANY OUTSTANDING FEES MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO ACTIVATING A NEW PLAYER REGISTRATION. To further update the community, we ran an informational ad in the 1/16/08 edition of the Cottage Grove Sentinel. Please contact the office if you need more information.

Sunday, May 04, 2008 ADULT CO-ED SOFTBALL INFO! We will be offering co-ed adult softball again this year. Listed below is the basic information regarding team registration, fees, and game/tournament schedules. • Registrations will be on a first come/first served basis, and will be open to the first nine teams only • League fees must be paid in full at the time of registration (NO EXCEPTIONS) • Any returning team with an outstanding balance will be required to pay that amount in addition to the 2008 league fees or they will be skipped over to the next registered team • All games will be double-header format and will be held on Sunday @ Daugherty • League champions will be awarded shirts for 1st place • Tournament champions will be awarded shirts for 1st place • All school district rules/policies will be strictly enforced during games/practices LEAGUE FEES WILL BE $650.00 PER TEAM. ALL TEAMS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPLYING THEIR OWN UNIFORMS (South Valley Athletics has local vendors who will assist you in getting your team uniforms at a discounted rate so please ask) TENTATIVE SEASON will start JULY 6th, 2008 and end August 17th, 2008 Second annual one-pitch year end tournament will be held August 23rd & 24th PLEASE CONTACT THE SOUTH VALLEY OFFICE FOR MORE INFORMATION @ 942-3079
